The Yankees' starting five took another interesting twist last night when starter Dustin Moseley struggled and Javier Vazquez starred out of the bullpen in an 11-5 victory over the A's before 46,356 fans at Yankee Stadium.
Vazquez, who lost his starting spot less than two weeks ago, may be in line to take either Moseley's spot in the rotation or A.J. Burnett's, if he struggles again tomorrow night.
Vazquez won his 10th game of the season with 4 2/3 innings of relief. He allowed one run and two hits while striking out six and walking one. Vazquez made a minor mechanical adjustment to the way he lifts his left leg, and it paid off with a better fastball. (NY Post)
