When the Yankees dropped an ocean of money into CC Sabathia's lap, they dreamed of games like last night.
Not so much because Sabathia picked a night to pitch when the Yankees spanked Twins starter Scott Baker early. It was more watching him move effortlessly through a lineup that was familiar with him from his Cleveland days.
The only hiccup was a second-inning homer by Michael Cuddyer. Other than that, Sabathia put to sleep any anxiety over his previous outing by hurling the Yankees to a 10-2 victory in front of 29,540 at the Metrodome. Continue
