Bad shoulder could send Yankees' Posada to DL
All the spring discussion of the Yankees' improved fitness seems as if it was eons ago. Since Opening Day, injuries have been cropping up by the day. Jorge Posada's continuing shoulder issues have him potentially ticketed for the disabled list, and Derek Jeter is day-to-day with a strained left quadriceps.
Jeter was topic one before yesterday's 5-2 loss to the Royals at Kauffman Stadium. He left Monday night's game against the Rays with the quadriceps strain, which he said first bothered him in Sunday's game. But by the end of yesterday's game, Posada had become the foremost concern. He left in the sixth inning as continued right shoulder problems left him feeling "dead" and unable to throw with his usual strength. Continue

I can't believe the injury bug is ALREADY hitting the Yanks! Maybe it's the ridiculously long season that starts in cold months that could cause early season injuries? Or maybe it's just bad luck. Either way, you can fall behind when teams like Baltimore are already off to a 6-1 start.
Come on Yankees!
