The Yankees did finish first in something last year - spending. While its streak of AL East titles ended at nine, the Yanks wound up with a record payroll of $218.3 million. The World Series champion Boston Red Sox were a distant second at $155.4 million, according to information received by clubs from the commissioner's office. In addition to the largest payroll, the Yankees have the highest revenue in the majors. Their cost today is $950 million and the Phillies cost is 392 million....wonder why I don't care for sports now since the 1960's.
Yankess should win series after all they have spent almost 2 and 1/2 as much the Phillies. They would look quite stupid if they lost. Is why sports suck nowdays!

The above is not payroll is cost of having the team...all and all is so stupid I quit watching all sports except Ultimate Fighting...ha hah!
